2: How does your media product represent particular social groups?

As you can see in the above image, the two protagonists are white teenage males, We used forms and conventions of the genre in our representations as the two protagonists in the film are teenage white males, I feel as though this is effective because that is the target audience, this comes from the idea that people want to watch themselves on screen. We developed the conventions of the horror genre's characters as they are both suggested from a school and are entering into impending doom to become accepted into a club, accepted into a social group. We challenged conventions here as usually horror films have teenage girls as the protagonists as they are seen as more vulnerable. I feel as though using two males was effective in our film as it puts the audience into the film as they can put themselves into the characters.
